A event held at The Cube on Saturday 7th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Araceli Puppet Theatre, Beanpig Puppets and Georgia Quality-Kent present Exquisite Corpse, a living breathing show featuring our own work and new collaborative pieces. The Exquisite Corpse is a traditional surrealist drawing game that has been used by artists to explore the collective subconscious. As puppeteers we believe in the sentience of objects, taking the drawing off the paper and giving it breath and life. Monstrous though it may be, we invite you to witness life that is spontaneous and impossible - to drink up the strange possibility and nourish the starved imagination of our time! We are coming together from each or our individual puppet worlds to create a new cabaret night of puppetry performances, hosted by puppets, curated by puppets. You name it, it’s puppets! About the Artists Beanpig Puppets are a surrealist puppet collective of living objects and their human counterparts. Their puppets are a visualisation of the unseen stories of the object realm where puppets live out their wildest dreams in lucid visions of destruction, creation and transformation. Araceli Puppet Theatre is an animistic-inspired, non-verbal, blending of found object manipulation and shadow puppetry. Inspired by nature, aboriginal cultures, and how magic is imbued into performance as shamanic and pre–cinematic live image making. Araceli puppet theatre creates powerful visual narratives, symbolic and poetic pieces, to inspire universal connection and universal understanding, and touch people's hearts. Georgia Quality Kent is a puppet wrangler. Growing up on a steady diet of stingray and thunderbirds, she never realised the characters she loved were forged from wood and string. Now as both maker and performer, she explores the strange dichotomy of intimate personal relationships between human and puppet in her visceral performances. 'le cadavre exquis boira le vin nouveau'
