A gig held at The Cube on Thursday 25th September. The event starts at 20:00.

Random Modulations.

On September 25, 2025, Bristol’s Cube Microplex will transform into a hub of cutting-edge sound and visuals. Presented by Rack Records and Machina Bristronica, and hosted by Steve Davis and Gaz Williams, this event promises a gritty, vibrant journey into the world of modular and synthesizer music.

The eight performers will be drawn at random to perform in pairs in a fluid relay. The twist here is that the performers are actually makers and representatives from the companies that build these instruments! They will be bringing rigs featuring their own products which adds a bringing layer to the improvisations.

Expect an evening of raw, spontaneous performances fused with real-time psychedelic visuals by sloon and Puttyrubber. The Cube’s big screen will be alive with dynamic imagery, creating an immersive experience that will follow the undulations of the music.

Doors open at 7 PM, don’t miss this chance to dive into the forefront of electronic music culture, brought to you by Rack Records and Machina Bristronica.

The lineup includes:
- Andrew Ostler (Os) from Expert Sleepers
- François Gaspard from Shakmat Modular
- Finlay Shakespeare from Future Sound Systems
- Richard Nicol from Pittsburgh Modular
- Jason Mayo from Knobula
- Paul Whittington from PWM
- Enrica Nebe-Gissel from Making Sound Machines
