A gig held at The Cube on Tuesday 14th April. The event starts at 19:30.

Pictureframes Moving between melodic, folk-inflected pop songs and minimal arrangements, Pictureframes conjure the changing rhythms of the natural world, channelling the likes of kevin Ayers, The Cleaners From Venus and Neil Young alongside the quieter moments of Yo La Tengo and The Velvet Underground. Their self released debut EP 'Event On The Downs' has been championed by BBC6 musics Gideon Coe and the band have recently performed alongside Daisy Rickman, Brown Horse and Dana Gavanski. Their second EP is set for release in spring 2026. Pictureframes consist of James Bonney (who also plays with improvised kraut/folk trio Double Pelican and songwriter Eva May), Molly Linen (whose solo output is released via Lost Map records), Dan Weltman (of indie pop project Snails), Caio Wheelhouse and Nick Bradford. Louis O'Hara Louis O'Hara is a singer-songwriter from Pembroke Dock, whose music finds beauty in the soft details of everyday life. Blending tender folk sensibilities with poetic lyricism and chamber-pop flourishes, his songs draw from memory, family, place and quiet emotional truths. 'A Peaceful Kind of Fun' (Libertino) is a 14-track collection that distils O’Hara’s poetic lyricism, tender folk roots, and subtle chamber-pop flourishes into a deeply personal yet quietly universal debut. Recorded with his band His Burley Chassis and produced by James Trevascus (Billy Nomates, Young Fathers, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis) in Spain. Edward Penfold Edward Penfold is a singer songwriter based in Bristol. He has released two albums 'Caulkhead' in 2016 and 'Denny Isle Drive' in 2017. Since then, he has taken a step back from music. He returns with a solo show, playing a mixture of songs, old and new. "Edward Penfold’s music is a blend of the old and the new, nostalgic but not dated. More than anything it sounds like now. It’s music from the heart, a hazy collection of sounds and moods sometimes upbeat, sometimes down but always genuine and always captivating. His lyricism reflects the eloquence and observation of a very English sort of poetry, seeing the depth in the shallows of life, the profundity in the mundane" Doors 7:30 Edward Penfold 8:00 Louis O'Hara 8:45 Pictureframes 9:30
