Onboard the Global Sumud Flotilla with Mathilda Mallinson at The Cube

A event held at The Cube on Tuesday 28th October. The event starts at 20:00.

As the genocide in Gaza entered its second year, the Global Sumud Flotilla saw civilians take matters into their own hands. The historic aid mission involved over 50 vessels from more than 44 countries, setting off in late August with the aim of breaking the siege on Gaza and delivering critical humanitarian aid.

Award-winning journalist Mathilda Mallinson, reporting for Middle East Eye, was on board the 'Family' Boat at the head of the fleet. Her journey was cut short when the boat was sabotaged in an attack.

Join us for this live show, where Mathilda shares her firsthand experience of life on the boat, the illegal interception, detention and torture of her comrades, the lack of media coverage, and the profound lessons learned from the journey.

We'll also be holding a fundraiser in support of Gaza Champions. a mutual aid network directly connecting families in Gaza with supporters around the world.
