Holy Motors 8pm at The Cube
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Seekers of hard logic and straight narrative steer clear, Holy Motors swims in pools of dream logic and surrealistic happenings like Lynch and Kaufman’s bastard child. Just let Carax’s comeback triumph wash over you; it’s about life, it’s about the nature of acting, but really it’s about delighting in the spectacle of Denis Lavant dressed as a troll licking Eva Mendes’ armpit. Pure magic on celluloid!"

There's never any audience or camera visible. Unless...

Played by Carax's favourite (and ours) collaborator, Denis Lavant, the film functions as the ultimate showcase for the man with an infinite amount of talents. Also features: Edith Scob, talking limos, erect penises, some of the weirdest cameos ever and more...
