Eskeips:
Eskeips is an audio-visual performance project based in Mexico city. The concept was born on the summer of 2016 as a collaboration between ex-Cube volunteer, composer Eduardo VC and visual artist Carolina Jaschac.
The project centers on the manipulation, reinterpretation and decontextualization of field recordings and found footage which is counter-posed with a live score that uses elements of improvisation, film-scoring and sound-design.
The combination of these abstract soundscapes with psychedelic visuals develops into an ambient contemplative experience.
Tonight Eduardo is accompanied by the VJ talents of Cube resident, Mr Hopkinson.
In support tonight we have two different solo acts who are both based in Bristol. Ocean Floor, aka Aonghus Reidy delivers
brooding ambient soundscapes utalising synths and piano. After the release of Jupiter on Zamzamrec, we are excited to have him back with us playing new material from his upcoming releases.
Also playing tonight is someone else who is no stranger to The Cube. Normally in the soundbooth enabling the music acts/theatre/cabaret/comedy/weirdness, we have the talented Mr Andrew Binnie under the guise A/B. His music is diverse and ranges from glitchy electronica, field recordings, techno and house. We are looking forward to seeing him grace and rip up the stage.
