Bell Lungs, Tara Clerkin & ZGTC at The Cube
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Halloween may be behind us but the transcendent post-folk of mega-multi-instrumentalist Bell Lungs is music to enchant the villagers to. A mesmeric smorgasbord of interwoven vocal harmonies, electric violin, finger picked guitar, instrumental loops, and more (and more and more). FFO Richard Dawson, Julia Holter, Julianna Barwick, This Is The Kit, Mellow Candle, Steven R. Smith"

The Cube Microplex Presents three performances of sonic sorcery and occult musical weirdness

Featuring

BELL LUNGS

Scottish-Turkish multi-instrumentalist, improvisor and composer, Ceylan Hay takes a freewheeling, magpie attitude to ambient, noise, free improvisation, psychedelia, jazz, post-rock, minimalism and folk, creating subtly shifting sound worlds drawing on natural cycles, environmental disaster and the microcosmic aspects of relationships.  Instrument collecting is a long-held passion, and she plays a startling number of instruments, integrating vocals, strings, keys, tuned percussion and woodwinds into lushly textured layers and loops.

TARA CLERKIN

Local legend and leader of the eponymous trio brings her solo CDJ manipulation to the Cube stage, blenderising and re-collaging snippets of jazz loops into new cubist forms of psychedelic mania.

ZERO GRAVITY TEA CEREMONY

Zero Gravity Tea Ceremony presents the Zero Gravity Chamber Orchestra, a new debuting ensemble from the Liquid Library orbit, performing zero-gravity-chamber-music. Expect free-jazzeries, minimalism and mild noise.
