A
clubnight
on Saturday 26th March. The event starts at 08:00.
DOLLYBYRD is a unique party and 60s-70s nightclub that takes place in Bristol regularly. This time, a group of friends including DJs, musicians, dancers, actors, and artists have collaborated with its organisation to make it very special!
The event on Saturday 26 March 2022 (8 pm to 1 am) is aimed at celebrating the more obscure, countercultural and underground side of the 60s and 70s clubbing nights through music, performance and art.
MUSIC!
Psychedelic, garage and beat music will be selected by some of the finest listeners of the genre in the names of Neil Evans and Alex Walsh. They will keep the rhythm of the wild dances encouraged by the 60s performers and go-go dancers Pandora, Petunia, and the eclectic Lula.
DANCING!
Dollybyrd's dancers are like shamanesses capable of awakening bodies (and souls!) and leading everyone towards unbridled dances that, by means of psychedelic music, amplify our perceptions and release our energies.
ART PERFORMANCE!
60-70s face/body painting will be available for everyone who wants to have a go!
WHERE?
The event will take place at the ultimate Bristol venue where the precious heritage of music and experiences of the subcultures of the last century finds its home, life, and expression: The Elmer's Arms. 53 Old Market St. Bristol.
WHY?
We are calling everyone to join the night, the music and aesthetic!
THE EVENT IS ALSO CONCEIVED AS AN HAPPENING WHERE EVERYONE CAN PLAY A PART!
