bell hooks ‘all about love’
Friday 22 May 2026
Bristol Folk House, 40a Park St, Bristol BS1 5JG
For May's chapter of THIS IS NOT A BOOKCLUB, we join bell hooks' quest to understand, 'the meaning of love beyond the realm of fantasy’. Reflecting on bell hooks, ’All About Love' 25 years after its publication, we turn attention to our most intimate source of power in an increasingly narcissistic society.

In 2026 love appears lost beneath hate and division, just as science starts to deliver a deeper understanding of love’s true power. As we're presented with an evolving maze of interpretations, it feels like a good time to learn, all about love.
