held at Bristol Folk House
on Friday 29th November. The event starts at 20:00.
Magical singer-songwriter Jenn Bostic announces an extra special date at the Folk House, joined by three more outstanding UK solo artists - Emma Stevens, Bristol's own Daisy Chapman and Jack Omer.
With 17 years of songwriting and performance experience split between here and the US, Jenn Bostic has been the name on everyone's lips of late. Her beautiful music earned her a staggering five 2012 Independent Country Music Association Awards, including Overall Winner, Best Musician, Best Songwriter and Song Of The Year.
Her recent single, produced by Barrett Yeretsian (Christina Perri's Jar Of Hearts), Jealous Of The Angels, has received the upmost praise. It jumped straight into Smooth Radio's Top 10 Most Played list and now has amassed almost 1.5 million views on YouTube.
Influenced by the early loss of her father, Jenn's enchanting music is a profound and spiritual expression of her love for him. It is clear that she channels a lasting connection to him through her songs, resulting in a touching, pure and, above all, credible sound.
She is joined by the wonderful Emma Stevens, whose exceptional songwriting has seen her work with the likes Kate Nash and Passenger and have her music commissioned by BBC and ITV. She has toured with The Kooks, Feeder and Incubus and seen one of her compositions sell 100,000 copies within just a week of its release.
Recently seen on The Harbourside Festival main stage, Bristol talent Daisy Chapman will be bringing even more stunning music to the table, offering up a sublime combination of powerful vocals and dramatic, engaging instrumentals. A true musical craftswoman, hers is a set you certainly won't forget.
Accompanying the girls will be Jack Omer, a genius of a musician, whose poetic and inspiringly simple writing has earned the respect of industry sages nationwide. Yet another one not to miss...
