A gig held at Bristol Folk House on Saturday 28th March. The event starts at 15:00.

Our good friends (and experts in all things guitar-related) at Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines have joined forces to produce this new show focusing on the period between the acoustic Delta Blues sound of the 1930s and the advent of rock ’n’ roll in the 1950s. This was the era of giants such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and T-Bone Walker who harnessed the power of the then new-fangled guitar amplifier and literally changed the musical landscape forever. Guitarist editor-in-chief Jamie Dickson has previously produced shows for Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival honouring both Jimi Hendrix and Cream. This show takes us back to pay homage to the very artists that would have inspired both those acts, and many others, as youngsters
