An introduction to drawing and painting British birds in watercolour, how to produce proportionally correct artwork that captures the colour and texture of the plumage, and the character of your chosen bird. A basic understanding of the form and anatomy of birds will be developed through studying and drawing British birds from photographs provided. The techniques of applying watercolour to your studies will be explored through demonstrations and then exercises allowing you to try the methods for yourself.
The work of key wildlife artists will also be shared and discussed, along with the methods and materials they have used. Suitable for all abilities, the session is designed to be fun and to inspire your imagination.
