Natalie Bennett: Change Everything at Bristol Folk House
See event details

A event held at Bristol Folk House on Tuesday 28th July. The event starts at 19:30.

Join us for a bold and brilliant conversation with Natalie Bennett about how we can – and must – rethink, repair, and rebuild society.

Natalie was the leader of the Green Party between 2012 and 2016 and is a current member of the House of Lords. In her latest book, Change Everything, she challenges ideas that have dominated the political landscape over recent decades and sets out an alternative path to prosperity, health, and resilience.

In conversation with Andrew Kelly, former Director of Bristol Ideas, Natalie will reveal exactly what a green political philosophy looks like in practice, and how it requires us all to “do politics”. Because history is not pre-written – it is made by our actions.

Doors will open at 7pm. The Folk House bar will be open, and so will the book stall kindly provided by Heron Books. We’ll start at 7.30pm and finish at 8.30pm.

We would like this event to be accessible to everyone. If you would like to come but cannot afford a ticket, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Praise for Change Everything:

‘Every so often, a book comes along that articulates exactly what our country needs. This is one. Essential reading’ — Zack Polanski

‘A full-throated battle-song… We are ready for another world, we are ready to change everything and this wonderful book shows us exactly how we are going to do that.’ – Caroline Lucas

‘If charm and enthusiasm were enough to win over more reluctant citizens to a programme of radical change, Natalie Bennett would be a strong contender for the challenge. Change Everything is essentially a manifesto – delivered with great gusto – of what a green perspective would look like across a wide array of subjects’ — Ros Coward, The Ecologist
