Sun Sessions - Lazy Day at The Gallimaufry

A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Sunday 15th September. The event starts at 19:00.

Alexander Sun presents: ‘Sun Sessions’ a beautiful glimpse into the world of dreamy, sun-drenched music. Inspired by the ethos of ‘if it makes you feel good’ these nights will be as tender as they will be electric. Leave your worries at the door, and soak up the good vibes.

We are stoked to announce that Lazy Day will be headlining the first of our three Sun Sessions dates, with support from Ead Wood, and Alexander Sun. Once the live goodness has rolled into the station, DJ FIDDLESTIX will be keeping the party amply hyped.

Lazy Day - https://www.lazydaylazyday.com/
Lazy Day began in 2014 as the solo bedroom project of Tilly Scantlebury. After recording her songs in her makeshift bedroom studio, news about Lazy Day spread so quickly that she put together her now four-piece band. Joined by Beni Evans on drums, Liam Hoflay on lead guitar and Kris Lavin on bass, the warmth and energy they have onstage as a unit is infectious. Everyone's invited to the party, nobody is left out.

Drifting slowly somewhere between the realms of reality and the obscure, Bristol based rock n’ strollers Alexander Sun pack a hazy punch - bittersweet songs are brought to life by a huge 5 piece sound, led by a triage of soaring vocal harmonies and jazz like lead lines.

"Defiantly original, Ead Wood's songwriting recalls everyone from Mac DeMarco to Beach Fossils, while retaining that UK sensibility." - Clash Magazine
