See event details

A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Tuesday 15th April. The event starts at 21:00.

The Jazz / Rock power-trio will be performing a high-energy set in The Gallimaufry ahead of the release of their second EP, Slink. Influenced by artists such as Robben Ford, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Tribal Tech, their sound offers listeners hard-hitting grooves and blazing improvisations.

Ben Kerrigan is one of Bristol’s most exciting upcoming guitarists, having studied with Frank Gambale and other notable fusion artists. He regularly plays and records for a variety of Bristol music projects and is the author of his own educational book series. As composer and arranger for the project, he balances a deep understanding of blues and classic rock with 80s fusion madness to bring a unique intensity to his work.

Charlie Evans is a professional bass player who studied under Mike Mondesir and Rufus Philpot. He has gigged extensively across the UK, US and Europe, playing at many festivals including Glastonbury, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Genk Onstage festival and more. He has also played in theatres across the UK and once in the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. When not gigging, he can be found running two of the best rehearsal studios in Bristol - Firebird Studios and The Engine Room.

Kerris McDonald is one of Bristol's most in-demand drummers, playing regularly with an endless list of the city's best musicians - Suntou Susso, Senna Weeks Trio, the label Poor Man's Friend Records, and many more. Inspired by fusion greats such as Dennis Chambers and Vinnie Colaiuta, he has developed a formidable command of the instrument, as well as a unique artistic vision that is a cornerstone of the trio.

Free entry, music from 9pm.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
