Gusanos’ music is a vibrant blend of Colombian rhythms and psychedelic blues, bringing a new edge to música tropical. Think Khruangbin meet Santana and Buena Vista Social Club.

Originally borne out of a 2017 residency at London’s historic Troubadour in its heydey, where Gusanos brought the spirit, energy and rhythms of the after hours descargas at a jazz club in bogota where the finest Latin musicians would gravitate to after their gigs, drink aguardiente, dance and play tunes until the police closed them down.

Their sweaty live shows have since then captivated audiences all over with shows in the UK, Europe and Colombia, including appearances at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, Tropical Pressure and Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

Gusanos are Jai Widdowson Jones (Drums), Chris Axe (Bass) and Mark Goudswaard (Guitar) who have worked with with Jay-Z, Tyler the Creator, Afrika Baby Bam, Teto Ocampo, Los Makenzy, Chongo de Colombia, Andy Fairweather Lowe, Kevin Brown and Hannah Williams and the Affirmations.
