A
gig
held at The Golden Lion
on Friday 10th March. The event starts at 21:30pm.
A masterclass in blustery jazz swing infused with addictive rhythm and blues, blazing horns and galloping double bass, with highlights coming thick and fast...a damn addictive ride from start to finish, sure the band take you to places you jazz/swing lovers already know and love, but the scenery has never been this vivid, fun and full of life before"
RHYTHM AND BOOZE MAGAZINE 10/10
Formed in 2006 as a skiffle group and taking their name from the Rabbit’s Foot Company and the spasm bands that played home-made instruments on the streets of New Orleans, this band play a blend of jazz, skiffle and blues with the energy of punk. With the gruff and growling vocals of Stuart Macbeth accompanied by a variety of instruments including piano, trumpet, guitar, mandolin, string bass, drums and various saxophones this is a thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting album.
From the swinging Orleans styled jazz of Lonely Record Shop to the invigorating Shanghai Fanny that put me in mind of Louis Armstrong, this is just total unadulterated pleasure and exhilarating entertainment"
