SPILL THE BEANS PROUDLY PRESENTS.... KID CARPET LIVE!

Guess who's back!

As our good friend ED PATRICK (KID CARPET) Is back where he belongs in Bristol after a mental tour all over this lovely land, We thought it only right to bring him back to the lion for you to enjoy one of the most explosive one man stage shows ever!

Kid Carpet (Ed Patrick) makes electronic punk folk shit-hop music out of whatever's lying around.

In 2003, Ed began making music with plastic toys and dodgy samples as a bit of a joke, he was bored with the serious pretensions of contemporary indie pop bands and found audiences relating to the playfulness of his energetic performances.

Kid carpet released his first ep, Shit Dope in 2003 as a home-made cd which was re-released as a blue vinyl single in 2004 by Slow Graffiti Records. National radio session, remix and live show requests soon followed.

A popular support act for touring bands, Kid Carpet has opened for Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Arcade Fire, Art Brut, Badly Drawn Boy, Electric Six, The Go! Team, Willy Mason and The Presidents of the United States of America. He has become a festival favourite and has had the pleasure of performing in Japan, Hong Kong, Iceland and throughout Europe.

His first full album Ideas & Oh Dears was released in 2005 by Tired and Lonesome Records and featured 3 singles, Your Love, Shiny Shiny New and Carrier Bag. He also started having a lot of fun making pop videos. Second album Casio Royale was released in 2008 by Rob Da Banks Sunday Best label and featured the singles I Don't Want To Fall In Love With You, Hitting The Wall and Make It Look Good.

Kid Carpet released The Advert Break in 2010, a tiny concept album maxi single of bogus advert songs and jingles.

Songs From Repo Chick is Kid Carpet's latest album, released by Dan Le Sac's Dumb Drum Records in April 2011. Repo Chick is filmmaker Alex Cox's latest feature film and sequel to his 80's classic Repo Man. Kid Carpet was invited to write and record music by Alex for the soundtrack and Songs From Repo Chick is the result.

Shuffle Remix EP & video was the first release from the album in March 2011 and included remixes by Dan Le Sac, Pete and the Pirates and Voluntary Butler Scheme.

Since recording the Songs From Repo Chick album, Kid Carpet has been experimenting with an absurd mistranslation project The Language Lab and writing a rock opera for kids about noisy animals.

Kid Carpet continues to enjoy writing, performing and expressing himself in any way that makes him happy.
