Immigrant Swing members spawn from diverse intercontinental backgrounds with French, Columbian, English, Welsh, Chinese and Italians in their midst, the diversity being not only cultural but also musical, with individual members trained in different styles, from Classical to Jazz, Hip Hop to French Chanson, Blues to Gypsy music and more. They combine these cultures and styles from around the globe, into what they call Bristol Riot Swing - a high energy, foot stomping, acoustic music featuring a swinging rhythm section, driven by Double Bass, Manouche Guitar rhythms and Drums. This provides the foundations for MCspokeMao to deliver his own style of beat-poetry, with Clarinet & Violin ripping through the melodic lines.
