A gig held at The Golden Lion on Thursday 5th May. The event starts at 20:00.

Almagrey

Blending dissonant guitar sonics, driving drums and hooky powerful riffs with ethereal vocals and introspective lyrics, this three-piece shoe gaze group has been dazzling and captivating audiences in Bristol since their formation. With the release of their first full length LP on the horizon, they’re a band to keep an eye on in the coming months.

Babel Station

Describing themselves as ‘the end product of a 1986 hit & run incident in Ashton-under-Lyne’, Babel Station’s quirky mix of cheerful accordion, mellow guitar and thoughtfully eccentric vocals come together in a sound that’s sometimes melancholy, often uplifting and always entertaining. With a performance style dripping with both sonic and visual Charisma, they’re one group that’s certainly not to be missed.
