The King Driscolls- Tickets Available on the Door at The Greenbank, Easton

A gig on Saturday 17th May. The event starts at 20:00.

Tickets available on the door...

The King Driscolls perform traditional and original music on themes of nature and humanity’s place in it; working the land, craft, solidarity, optimism and love.

They have a reputation for live shows that can hold a crowd in pin-drop silent attention or elevate them to a dancing uproar. The band weaves guitar, banjo and double bass with vocal harmonies, mandolin and percussion to create music that ranges from a cappella songs to heartfelt ballads and foot-stomping rabble rousing anthems.

Their songs seek to tell stories of working with hands and heart; older ways of tending the land as well as the sublime fragility of wild nature and the struggle for optimism in our modern world. The band members work in ancient woodland management, traditional carpentry and market gardening mean the inspirations for these songs are not mere anachronistic imaginings but close observations and lived experiences.

This is a rare opportunity to see them perform during the growing season and away from their natural habitat in the East Anglian Countryside...
