This is the debt live performance from this duo. After playing together in many combinations, Alex and Chris begun to play together as a duo just before the summer, and present this concert as a prelude to a studio recording early in November Alex Veitch - piano // Chris Jones - double bass Chris Jones is a double and electric bassist currently residing in Bristol, UK. Chris studied jazz at the University of Exeter and the Birmingham Conservatoire where he had the privilege of studying and playing with some great musicians such as John Taylor, Stan Sulzmann, Mark Hodgson, Dave Holland, Hans Koller and Arnie Somogyi. Alex moved to Bristol from London around a year ago; he studied at the Guildhall School and has since secured residencies at Ronnie Scott’s and played at other venues including The Vortex, Cafe Oto, and Pizza Express Soho. We welcome his trio on the first Thursday of each month and are excited to present this collaboration upstairs at The Greenbank Music from 9 // Free Entry
