Nick is one of the foremost musicians in UK contemporary jazz and free improvisation. He has had a gig broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s Jazz on 3, released two albums to critical acclaim (a third is on its way) and toured his music nationally including at London and Manchester jazz festivals. He has worked with musicians like Alexander Hawkins, Olie Brice, Corey Mwamba, Hannah Marshall and Mark Sanders. He is a Take Five Edition IX artist, a professional development scheme for emerging creative jazz musicians run by Serious. He also plays regularly with UK folk legend Eliza Carthy in her Wayward Band.

Alex moved to Bristol from London around a year ago; he studied at the Guildhall School and has since secured residencies at Ronnie Scott’s and played at other venues including The Vortex, Cafe Oto, and Pizza Express Soho. We welcome his trio on the first Thursday of each month and are excited to present this collaboration
