"Bold Bristol champions of underground folk, Cuculi hosts another spine-tingling session via the jazz-addled torchsongs of Georgia Duncan. With intricate instrumental interplay courtesy of bass maestro Ruth Goller, and carried by Georgia’s impossibly elegant vocals, this is dazzling, ethereal stuff FFO: Karen Dalton, Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Keren Ann, Allie Crow Buckley."

GEORGIA DUNCAN
Georgia Duncan is a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter from South London whose music fuses folk intimacy
with jazz-inflected harmonies and subtle experimental textures. Her debut album, Four Ways To The Sun, was
released in September 2025 and has garnered critical acclaim, with airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 3
and Jazz FM. Composed and led by Duncan, the band developed the album collaboratively and features
renowned improvising musicians Ruth Goller (bass), Yusuf Ahmed (drums), and Harry Christelis (guitar).
Recorded at Lightship 95 with engineer Dave Holmes, the album reflects an instinct for space and
collaboration, and is woven together by Duncan’s signature lyrical depth and layered vocal harmonies, with
features from fellow vocalists Genevieve Dawson, Isobel Risk, Lara Laeverenz and Katie Duncan. Now
writing new music and exploring songs for a covers EP, her music pairs honest songwriting and delivery with
the kind of arrangements that quietly stay with you.
★★★★ “announces the arrival of a distinctive voice within the blossoming jazz-folk scene” - UK Vibe
“echoes of Joni Mitchell and Beth Gibbons....uncompromising, atmospheric, and rich with shifting light, shade, and musical depth” - Jazz Journal
“gorgeous, just gorgeous” - Zakia Sewell, BBC Radio 6 Music

OLIVE GRINTER & JOE SHRIMPLING
Good friends Olive and Joe recently discovered their shared passion for songwriting and have come together to create a collection of songs telling tales of nostalgia, friendship and whimsy. Drawing influence from John Martyn and Nick Drake, Joe’s delicate and thoughtful fingerpicking style embraces Olive’s warm, sensitive vocals, which are likened to Laura Marling and Norah Jones. It’s important to the pair that the narrative of their music is always developing while retaining a character that the listener can recognise from song to song. They'll be sharing the new music they've been cooking up in the studio.
