Avalen – A traditional folk band formed in the cider-soaked pubs of South Bristol. They take their name from their affinity with the Orchard Inn on Spike Island – Avalen being the Cornish word for apple tree. Avalen combine Celtic classics with the nautical tunes of the South West to serve a homely brand of West Country folk music.
