The Town Gardens + Gin Bride

We are The Town Gardens, a Windmill Hill folk quartet who have been tending and cultivating melody since 2018. Following a re-bloom with new line up in 2025, we have created a collection of songs we feel proud to have written and privileged to share, and now we hope to take them into a studio and give them the love and permanence we feel they deserve.

Concurrent with our Crowdfunder, we have organised a series of performances to raise funds towards our album and we are now delighted to invite you to the second instalment of these gigs, this time at the grand and marvellous Harbour in Totterdown.

Joining us for the evening will be special guests Gin Bride, performing gentle, delicate, and thoughtful folk songs.

Tickets are "pay what you can", with a recommended price of £10. We're grateful to those who are able to pay more, helping us to further support the production of our album while, more importantly, subsidising tickets for those on lower incomes. We wish to ensure that our performances are accessible to as many people as possible, while ensuring the event remains financially viable.

The Album will be entitled "Folk, as in People", which we felt is the best phrase to describe how the values of kinship, community, solidarity, and hope have influenced our creative perspectives. We intend for people to find meaning and resonance in what we sing about, and hope that our expressions of things such as grief, rebirth, passion, and pause can further help build connection, understanding, and strength between us. Folk as a synonym of people, Folk which lies within people, Folk which is made by people, etc..
