Tim Funnell is a jazz pianist living and working in Bristol. He was lucky enough to study on the exclusive “New York comes to Groningen” program in the Netherlands where he was able to study with some of the best Dutch musicians and visiting New York teachers.
He now plays in various ensembles including bands which he leads under his name. He has performed with many fantastic musicians such as Sam Crockatt, Alina Engibaryan, Robert Brian, Patrice Blanchard, Alexander Skoric, Andrea Caruso and Sisanda Myataza.
His style encompasses various different elements from the rich tradition of jazz from stride to be-bop to contemporary pianists like Brad Mehldau.
