AWE — Immersive Sound Experience

AWE — Immersive Sound Experience at The Hideout

A gig on Sunday 18th October. The event starts at 18:30.

Lie down. Listen. Feel the space.

AWE is a 60-minute fully improvised immersive performance combining electric piano, classical and electric guitar, drones, singing bowls and vocals.

AWE comes from a simple idea: sound has always been more than something we listen to. From a mother singing to calm her baby to music used for celebration, connection and contemplation, we respond to sound instinctively.

Started in Montreux in 2024, AWE grew from this idea — exploring sound and space not just as something to listen to, but something to experience.

Everything is improvised. The musicians respond to each other, the room and the atmosphere. The music starts slowly, builds into more intense waves, and falls away again, drawing from ambient, experimental and contemporary classical music, alongside contemplative and sound-healing practices.

The audience can lie down, sit, close their eyes, meditate, move or simply listen. The event is particularly suited to meditation, relaxation, contemplation and deep listening. Mats and cushions will be available.

AWE is created by Waseem Albahri and Pablo Jimenez-Moreno, with guest musicians and vocalists joining selected performances.
