INLAND (AKA ED DAVENPORT)
Firstly we welcome Inland (aka Ed Davenport) After Storm Emma thwarted are attempts to Bring him to our Techno-Prisoners series back in March We were always going to make this booking happen and we couldn't be happier!
Inland (real name Ed Davenport) is a British producer, DJ and founder of Counterchange Recordings based in Berlin.
Known for his detailed and explorative techno releases on Counterchange, Infrastructure, Naïf and more, Inland's debut LP, 'An Invitation To Disappear' will be released on Ostgut Ton sub-label A-TON in September 2018. A collaboration with conceptual artist Julian Charrière, 'An Invitation To Disappear' translates Davenport's soundtrack for Charrière's gallery-based video installation into eight tracks of rhythmically intricate electronics and spectral techno. Tracking through a palm oil plantation toward a totemic soundsystem on full blast, the LP and Film will debut live at Berghain in September.
We are hugely honoured to be included on Inlands Album tour for his debut album on A-TON record label 'An Invitation To Disappear'.
Joining him on the night and truly making this one of most exciting Curations to date will be Roberto - Fossil Archive! We have been wanting to bring Rob back for a while now as his set at our techno prisoner series is up there as a one of MCSC stand out sets! He created one of the most pumping vibes we've had on a Mi Casa dance floor and that has stayed with us!
Roberto combines Detroit and underground Dutch techno to create his unique UK sound. His approach is rooted in an exploration of techno and a dedication to sound quality and clarity. Roberto has played at some of the worlds most revered clubs including Fabric (London), Tresor and Berghain (Berlin).
Owner of record label Fossil Archive, which largely focusses on vinyl (though tracks are available to buy digitally), it is the ethos of the label to never compromise on sound. A labour of love involves pressing each track to a single side of vinyl at 45rpm.
On the Night Mi Casa Su Casa Residents Rich King and Jon Lindon will be on warm up setting the tone for what will be an incredible evening of Techno and celebration!
