STRAPPED at The Island
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Where better for Bristol fringe theatre-makers Toxic Shock to debut new queer crime drama Strapped than in an Edwardian basement lined with police cells? A unique murder mystery/vigilante story that sees drag queens taking the law into their own hands (finally!) FFO subversive c*nt-serving revenge fantasies."

A event held at The Island on Tuesday 16th April. The event starts at 19:30.

A gay man has been murdered while leaving his boyfriend’s flat, and now the local drag queens are ready for war. As the feds and the press refuse to acknowledge the murder as homophobic, Yeast Splendour vows to protest in any way she can; bloodshed scored to a Britney Spears soundtrack.

Taking place in the Basement Space of The Island, Toxic Shock’s new play promises to be a semi-immersive experience to rock the Bristol Theatre scene. Get ready for Drag Shows and Knife Crime assemblies, imaginative staging and intuitive direction. This is not an experience you want to miss.

Doors open at 7pm, the play starts at 7:30pm, and ends at 9:30pm with a 20 minute interval.
