Belishas patch together the bleak and abrasive sounds of late 70s punk and 80s post punk (The Clash, The Cure) with the soaring pop-stained jangle of early 90s indie (Blur, Suede, Pavement). Growing up surrounded by a vibrant and nurturing Bristol underground scene, the city’s melting pot of music culture gave the group its ambition to combine and reinvent.
