LUMER at The Lanes

A gig held at The Lanes on Friday 25th October. The event starts at 19:00.

Whilst 2018 saw LUMER release their debut EP, complete an 18 date UK/EU tour and get a nod from IDLES’ Joe Talbot on Lammo’s Radio 6 show - 2019 has seen the band play Goldsounds Festival, the Main Stage at Humber Street Sesh & support the likes of Flat Worms, Psychotic Monks and Sweaty Palms around the UK.
In September, the band released their “blistering” new single, ‘White Tsar’, via London’s Permanent Creeps Records; as well as paying a visit to the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios in London, to record a live session for BBC Introducing.

Gigwise - “[White Tsar’s] abrasive guitar grinds itself into the sweat-slicked floors of the very venues the band have been born from. ‘White Tsar’ is rollicking and frisky, anchored by a heavily political message and delivered with a soul-bearing snarl.”

The Line of Best Fit - “Hull four-piece LUMER spearhead a rebel post-punk alliance with the mighty, ‘White Tsar’. With its searing vocals and merciless energy, LUMER’s new tracks draws comparisons between Oscar Wilde’s Vera and the (surprisingly non-fiction) current political climate.”
