━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
really big really clever is the new project from Jared Tomkins and Jordan Lilford, formed in 2022 after the split of their previous band Gender Roles. After years of touring, writing & recording together, the pair wasted no time in writing and recording their self-titled debut album (released 1st Dec ‘23 through Beth Shalom Records) at London's The Bookhouse Studio with producer Tom Hill. Expect 10 chaotic fast-paced guitar bangers about doubt, uncertainty and self-help. The band are currently in the studio recording album 2 before heading out on tour in UK/EU in March/April/May ‘24.

Based in Brighton, the band performs live as a 4 piece with good friends Sam Perkins (drums) and Chris Childs (bass). The band's first shows were opening on tour for Regal Cheer around the UK in February '23, since then shows have followed around the country including showcases at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival, Rotterdam’s Left of the Dial Festival and a September tour with US alt-rockers Church Girls.
