Kaurna-based quintet The Empty Threats fuse Australian post-punk and noise rock into a metallic rainbow of snarling bass, frenzied guitars, restless percussion and electric clarinet. Known for their wild, unfiltered shows, they deliver cathartic, politically charged anthems with flamboyant theatrics and Bowie-esque energy.

Formed in 2017, The Empties are made up of long-term Adelaide music scene contributors, drawing influence from Tropical F*ck Storm, Aldous Harding, Kraftwerk and Car Bomb. Their sound blends rebellious noise with euphoric dance grooves, while their lyrics dive into raw emotion, radical authenticity, and liberated expression.
