A
gig
held at The Lanes
on Monday 25th August. The event starts at 20:15.
Kassie Krut began as the experimental solo project of Kasra Kurt (Palm), evolving into a three-piece with longtime collaborators Eve Alpert and Matt Anderegg after Palm disbanded in 2023. Now based between New York and Philadelphia, the group crafts an electrifying blend of electronic textures, post-pop vocals, and industrial edge.
Their self-titled debut EP—entirely self-produced—melds car alarms, feedback, and notification chimes with pots-and-pans percussion, taut bass, and sharp lyricism. Alpert’s commanding vocals on tracks like “Reckless” and Kurt’s pitch-shifted falsetto on “United” deliver playful, cutting affirmations wrapped in metallic, minimal soundscapes.
With early influences from London’s dub, grime, and garage scenes, and nods to SOPHIE, Tirzah, and DAF, Kassie Krut offers a futuristic take on pop’s emotional punch.
The Itch are a boundary-pushing, London-based group reviving indie-electronic rock with a communal, collaborative spirit. Their long-form, synth-infused singles and improvisational live shows mark them as one of the UK’s most refreshingly unpredictable new acts.
