Returning for our yearly beatdown. Expect pop offs, hard fought matches, trash talk, and all sorts of hype. Whether you're a seasoned veteran, or new on the scene, come and join us at The Lanes in Bristol for a fun filled day packed with hype! salt! and prizes!
This time competitors will be fighting it out in in the three most popular new titles, plus the game that gave us the name "Waistman Weeklies".

Finals planned to start at 18:00, with top 4 onwards for each game on stream!
All brackets are double elimination, please check full rules below for details.

The event will likely run till at least 22:00, so please make appropriate travel/accomodation plans.
Costs: Venue entry is £10 for a competitor, £5 for spectators. This gives you access to the area upstairs to spectate tournament matches and for playing in casuals. 100% of this fee goes towards purchasing equipment for future events, so even if you don’t enter any tournaments on the day, just coming along shows your support for our scene and is a massive help!
Each game costs £5 to enter here on Start or £10 per game on the day at the venue, this goes in to the prize pot for respective game. Signups open now!
Prizes:
1st place - 60% of the pot for respective game
2nd place - 30% of the pot for respective game
3rd place - 10% of the pot for respective game
General Rules:
The venue is a bar, so under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult. ID may be required when buying drinks.
All games will be on standard tournament settings unless otherwise noted.
Bring your own arcade stick/controller/Brook converter if needed as we are unable to supply these.
Please stay around the console area during the tournament until you have finished all your matches and no longer need to play. We will try and advance through the bracket as much as we can, but if we've called you up and you don't show after 5 minutes you will be disqualified.
After your match is over, please can the winner come to the front and inform the staff running your bracket of the result (including the score).
Try and keep all button checks/stage choices etc as brief as possible.
If you'd like to request a blind pick or have any other questions about rules, let a member of staff know.
Pop off's are encouraged but try and keep things civil
Please, no outside food or drink inside the venue. The Lanes are an incredible venue who have allowed us to run events for over 10 years. Please, help us support the venue who make SMBF possible by buying a pizza and drinks from them. Trust us they're delicious!

Street Fighter III : 3rd Strike rules:
This tournament will be played on CPS3/Supergun, so most USB sticks and pads will plug and play.
Double elimination bracket, 2/3 games, winners final, losers final and grand final 3/5 games loser needs a reset.
Loser can change character, winner can change super art but must keep same character.
If a match ends on JUDGEMENT, the match must be replayed.
Any accidental game breaking glitches (e.g. Ken neutral throw on Makoto at the end of the round) will result in the match being replayed. If found to be done on purpose, the perpetrator will forfeit the game. (Please do not do this as it wastes time and may damage the equipment).
