C.A.R. // Chikaya at The Lanes
Event Cancelled

A gig held at The Lanes on Sunday 5th April. The event starts at 19:30.

We are so delighted to be welcoming for the first time the multifaceted electronic artist C.A.R. altogether with the cosmic soul of Chikaya.

C.A.R.

C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is Chloe Raunet, a Franco-Canadian, London residing fan of the weirder edges of electronic music, NTS Radio host/DJ and former singer of celebrated Kill The DJ band Battant.

C.A.R’s new album ‘Crossing Prior Street’ merges gritty dance music with esoteric pop, telling the story of escaping a broken childhood in Vancouver. It’s an album dedicated to restlessness; a mechanism for tackling unresolved conflict, with others and within herself.
Released on Ransom Note Records, it’s already been championed by Complex, Les Yeux Orange and BBC 6’s Tom Ravenscroft and C.A.R’s been previously lauded by the Quietus, Electronic Sound, Wonderland and DJ Mag and loads more.

Chikaya

Chikaya has always been a contrast to the norm, and embraces this to the fullest both in appearance and sound,
sporting electric blue hair, the songwriter has been making waves with her distinctive vocals accompanied by
ethereal 808 beats created by herself and her producer (who remains anonymous).
