Argentinean Tall Juan transplanted in New York City, has managed to evade labels and put out songs that only an Elvis Latino inspired by Ramones and South American Sounds could deliver.
The lyrics of Tall Juan are autobiographical nuggets about everything from drug addiction to perils of dating someone to living in South America and the Queens County.
About his recent Album ‘Atlantico’ (2020) Pitchfork says, “Tall Juan is as tall (about 6 feet 3 inches) as he is named Juan, and in his brief career, he has lovingly commanded the art of pastiche. On his 2017 debut Olden Goldies, Juan Zaballa introduced himself in 15 short songs as a rockabilly crooner raised on the Ramones—Iggy Pop doing an Elvis bit, maybe vice versa” Preceded by his Single 'Tall Juan Plays Cumbia' (2019), two EPs "Why Not?" (Recorded by Mac Demarco), (2015) "Joya Nedo" (2017) and his first LP "Olden Goldies" (2017).
Tall Juan has played more than 600 Shows in 7 years, within his current home New York City, with three extensive tours through the USA, two South American tours in 2017, three European tours (Two in 2016 and one in 2017) , and at some of the mainstream festivals in the world such as Coachella 2017 and SXSW 2018, plus his many shows in Japan, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
