GRAVY TRAIN & BLG PRESENTS:

DIARY • www.instagram.com/diarysounds
Hailing from New York City, Diary is a five-piece band with a sound that weaves together the best parts of jangle pop, post-punk, shoegaze, and psychedelia into their own brand of kaleidoscopic indie-rock. Their Speedboat EP is out now on Kanine Records.

WYR • www.instagram.com/wyrband
Wyr (“wire”) are a five piece shoegaze/post punk band heavily inspired by late 80s / early 90s alternative music, based in Bristol and South Wales.

Formed in 2023, Wyr credits their unique sound to influences such as My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, and The Cure.

Listeners can find themselves immersed in their trance inducing atmosphere oozing with fuzzed out feedback and plenty of reverb. A mixture of post punk inspired spoken word and ethereal vocals float above a soundscape of fragrant guitar tones and huge baselines.

BLUE AMBER • www.instagram.com/blueamberband
Fusing together Lynchian soundscapes, Dadaist and political lyricism and Art Rock with instrumental hip hop and free jazz, this is the sound of Blue Amber.

Starting life as an introverted bedroom project before blossoming into a supergroup of sorts featuring members of Cardiff’s numerous jazz and psych groups, Blue Amber have made a name for themselves on the live circuit in Wales with their sonically diverse offerings, and songs inspired by an increasingly divided world, Blue Amber refuse to be pigeonholed into a particular genre. Their live shows, complete with powerful double drums and the snarling poetry delivered by front man Drew Noel, make for an intense experience that has been compared to the likes of Arab Strap, Black Country, New Road and These New Puritans. Blue Amber’s debut album, Rockland’s Workshop, received acclaim from Clash, BBC Radio Wales and Circuit Sweet. Their follow up EP saw them collaborate with Minas, Ani Glass and Rubie, amongst others.
