A
gig
held at The Louisiana
on Friday 20th September. The event starts at 19:30.
The Silver Lines have always been very self-aware of their sound, and it’s for thisreason that they deliberately haven’t enlisted a second guitarist. They want every instrument to be heard and to hold the idea of musical space close during their live sets, where the audience can pick up on even the slightest nuances. They pride themselves on their live performances, and the shows are undoubtedly dynamic.
The Silver Lines’ music is alluringly raw, and they maintain the DIY punk/garage ethos and an autodidact songwriting style. They want to keep the same feeling that all bands have when they first start to get together and make music–the feeling that anything can happen when it’s just a few mates versus the world.
"The Silver Lines are a young, ferocious, and fun band that clearly have a very bright future ahead of them." -ClunkMagazine
