'Firing-off like a Roman candle in a Skittles factory, Tim Armstrong-approved LA/UK rockers Orange come on like the bastard offspring of Green Day and the Sex Pistols, jolting out vigorous bursts of spit-flecked, stadium-seeking pop-punk.' [Kerrang!]
Formed in Los Angeles in 2002 by British-born Joe Dexter (vocals, bass) and drummer Zak Glosserman, ORANGE effortlessly blend punk-rock sensibilities with infectious pop melodies a fusion that caught the attention of Rancid front man Tim Armstrong, who quickly signed the band to his influential Hellcat Records label in 2004.
The first two albums, 'Welcome To The World Of ' (2005) and'Escape From LA' (2007) introduced the young four-piece to an appreciative punk-rock community.
Their third album, 'Phoenix' (2009), produced by Gavin MacKillop (Sugarcult, MXPX, The La's), saw ORANGE step up into the pop-punk arena, a genre that clearly suits their optimistic lyrics, anthem-like choruses and killer hooks.
Following the band's hit single'Revolution', the theme to the Cartoon Network series'Generator Rex' and its accompanying video game, ORANGE have recently self-released the'Dead Sexy EP' to coincide with their most recent UK tour. Produced by Grammy award winner Ryan Hewitt (Blink 182, Sum 41, Red Hot Chilli Peppers), the EP is to be followed by a full-length studio album later this year
ORANGE have already extensively toured the UK with bands such as Zebrahead, MC Lars, Bowling For Soup, Suburban Legends and UK ska-punk veterans [Spunge]. The incredible audience response and rapidly growing fan base prompted the band to return for two UK headline tours, showcasing once again their boundless energy, raw talent and effortless connection with their audiences.
professionalised by Tim Armstrong in their teens and described by Fat Mike as the best thing on Hellcat:
ORANGE are proof that pop-punk is not dead! And with a confirmed main support slot on the upcoming Reel Big Fish UK & Europe tour early next year, these guys are red hot!
Slagerij are a 3 piece ska-punk outfit from Swindon, the band were formed in late 2007, since then they have developed an ever growing reputation with their unique catchy music which certainly packs a punch. The band have worked tirelessly on their own material to release a debut EP (released 2008) plus two entirely self-recorded and produced albums (released 2010 & 2011), but it is the buzz from playing gigs that they enjoy best. Having played around much of the UK and even taking in a brief US west-coast tour in 2010, they have performed alongside such acts as 4ft Fingers, Random Hand, Citizen Fish, Orange, Big D and the Kids Table and Assorted Jelly Beans plus a whole host of others.
