Glasshouse Red Spider Mite at The Louisiana

A gig held at The Louisiana on Saturday 26th September. The event starts at 19:30.

Glasshouse Red Spider Mite

Glasshouse Red Spider Mite is a band formed in Brighton by long-time friends Alex, Benji & Ethan, later to be joined by Cesca, completing the current line-up. They’re known for their melancholic & expansive blend of alt-rock/slow-core, demonstrated on the band’s debut EP ‘What Do You Mean The Monster? … Hahaha’, a release that saw them embarking on multiple UK tours, their first European dates, and playing to large crowds at End of The Road Festival. They’ve weaved a web that encompasses the intensities of the world, in all of its beauty and disarray echoing the hole in your heart, the pit in your stomach, and the pep in your step.

Troutflies
Off-beat, downbeat, and occasionally out-of-tune, Troutflies plays sleep-deprived songs with the aid of melodicas, fuzzy cassette tapes, and children’s xylophones, among various other tools.

swelt
swelt are a Bristol/ London four-piece channeling 70s folk, slowcore and early post-rock influences into sparse, immersive arrangements. The band released their debut album ‘Bones’ this March on a limited vinyl run, followed by a UK tour with sold-out shows at Bristol’s Cafe Kino and London’s Horse Hospital. swelt have received airplay from John Kennedy and BBC Introducing, plus coverage from Tom Robinson, Clunk Magazine, Wax Music and Hard of Hearing Magazine.

Splitlip
Split lip are a Slacker Rock three-piece that formed out of the eclectic ever changing music scene of Bristol. Alex Stewart, guitarist of post punk outfit Paper Crowns, brings along with him band mates Oliver Wood and Isaac Thomas to combine the indie sleaze undertones of Pavement and Beck through a contemporary Art Rock lens, exemplified by janky riffs and hypnotic drum grooves.
