Blooming - 'Blue' Single Launch with Ben Cipolla + Sum of Kaia at The Louisiana

A gig held at The Louisiana on Sunday 19th April. The event starts at 20:15.

Blooming arrives at The Louisiana to celebrate the launch of their third single for 2026 "Blue"!

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Patrick Blooming has a voice reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and a stage presence somewhere between Nick Cave and Michael Hutchens. Backed by a full band this night features a crafted night of storytelling and sweeping musical dynamism from soaring highs to breathtaking silence.

The lead single,"Blue" is the centrepiece of an entire show capturing a journey from comfort and safety, to truth and freedom. From an organic olive grove in rural Australia, to the heights of Delphi, the road to Santiago and toward the isles of Avalon, prepare for a journey around the world that reminds you where your heart is.

Ben Cipolla

Ben Cipolla is a singer and guitarist whose music drifts between soulful intimacy and rhythmic invention. Like Nick Drake, he brings a quiet intensity and melodic subtlety to his playing, while echoing John Martyn’s adventurous acoustic textures and Jack Johnson’s easygoing warmth and melodic storytelling. His performances are warm, open and inventive - transforming familiar songs into something unexpected and original work into something timeless.

Cipolla’s repertoire reflects his versatility: from jazz standards and bossa nova classics to reimagined pop favourites and contemporary hits. He keeps a natural blend of genres at the heart of his music, weaving jazz, soul, folk and acoustic pop into a sound that feels fresh yet familiar.

Sum of Kaia
New soul-funk rock outfit 'Sum of Kaia' have arrived on the Bristol scene with an unmissable groove. With rich vocals, slick bass lines and guitar hooks that won't leave your brain, the 4 piece are a band to keep an eye on.
