See event details

A gig held at The Louisiana on Thursday 9th July. The event starts at 20:00.

ROOMS is a new immersive live music and visual series exploring atmosphere, emotion and connection through sound, projections and art.

ROOMS I — Where It Begins is the first chapter, bringing together ambient electronics, soulful vocals and indie rock inside The Louisiana, Bristol.

Featuring live visuals and performances from:

• Lara Rxse

• JohnnyTheSeagull

• Amalfi

In support of The Grand Appeal — Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

Lara Rxse

With poetic flair, Lara Rxse takes you in a whirlwind of harmonies, heart-wrenching lyricism and catchy (but intricate) melodies. Her music embodies that of a walk through nature, rising and soaring with sounds of horns and strings. Lara paints ballads bound to tug at your heart strings, and her band have helped her to reimagine and enhance her sound - taking influence from jazz and alt-folk. (For fans of Laura Marling, Matt Maltese & Black Country New Road.)

JohnnytheSeagull (live)

JohnnytheSeagull is a DIY bedroom project by Choco milk enjoyer Giannis Nikodimos. One thing that shocked him when moving to Bristol was the huge amount of seagulls that the city has so he took inspiration from them and started his own lo-fi project, which embraces the DIY ethics and mentality of music with its imperfections and purity.
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, and based in Bristol, UK.

Amalfi Band

Amalfi are a Bristol indie rock band combining post-punk tension, atmospheric guitars and emotionally driven songwriting. Drawing influence from bands like Interpol, Kings of Leon and alternative rock’s darker edges, their music blends melodic hooks with restless energy and cinematic soundscapes.

Their live shows move between intimacy and chaos — loud and melancholic.

Entry requirements: 16+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
