The Zangwills at The Louisiana

A gig held at The Louisiana on Tuesday 17th November. The event starts at 19:30.

The Zangwills are Northwest based. Having released 2 EP’s, they are currently working on a debut album and embarking on their 2nd national UK tour.

Mixed influences and Jake’s distinctive vocals give them an instantly recognisable sound. This fresh authenticity is tricky to pin for comparison, however, they cite influences from David Bowie, The Cure and The Strokes.

With a reputation for exceptionally strong live sets, their followers are prepared to travel significant distances to see them play. Supports have included Yungblud and they’ve had an award-winning video produced by Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones).

‘These are dead, dead, DEAD good!’ - BBC Introducing

‘A refreshing set of indie tunes that stand out from the mundane jangles of landfill bollocks’ – Louder Than War

‘For originality, real musical craftsmanship, full on, no holds barred performance…look no further… This band truly are something else’ - New Sound Generation

‘Their live performance? Well that should be bottled; It’s the tincture of happiness, dissolve some Zangwills into your life for instant uplift.’ - All Music Magazine (UK/Europe)
