Neverlove. + supports at The Louisiana

A gig held at The Louisiana on Wednesday 1st October. The event starts at 20:00.

Alpaca Presents
neverlove.
+ Shy Pilot, Truck

The five members of neverlove, scattered across southwest england, were dragged together, kicking and sulking by their shared interest in the sombre and earnest. Emo, mathrock, indie, punk and country sounds are mixed in with apathy and sincerity to create a sluggishly energetic live performance.

Delicate, glassy melodies are backed by scratchy guitars, big drums, melodic bass and a fair bit of shouting and complaining.

Bristol/Exeter-based Shy Pilot are a 4-piece alt-rock band making music that aims to push and pull against established, melodic-driven songwriting. Their memorable pop hooks woven with introspective, poetic lyrics makes them truly distinct - sonically bright and emotionally resonant. Their live shows linger with you - anthemic choruses meet gritty, distorted waves, blending the tones and textures of bands like Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro, DIIV, Sonic Youth, and Amusement Parks on Fire.

Shy Pilot has released 2 singles and has been booked for Altitude Festival in Devon and is due to support Neverlove at the Louisiana at Bristol, with more gigs and releases planned for the later half of 2025.

Truck are a band that combines Indie Rock, Country, Emo and more, to deliver a fresh take on the music they grew up listening to. In their short time as a band, they've secured festival slots up and down the country including Dot to Dot Festival, Underground Festival and London's Burned Out, support from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and This Feeling, and played some legendary UK venues like Scala (London), The Fleece (Bristol), O2 Academy Oxford and more. The band have shared stages and line ups with legendary acts like The Staves, Space, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Black Foxxes, Gary Stringer (Reef), Katie Malco, Artful Dodger and many more.

The band recorded their latest single ‘Spit It Out’ at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London with MPG Breakthrough Producer 2024 Tayte Nickols. The track was mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Liam Gallagher, Biffy Clyro).
