Malago Canyon's self-titled debut album showcases a stunning variety of original tracks from the pens of band members Elliott Sutcliffe and Terry Dunbar, bringing together music spanning the country rock and americana lexicon.
Seeing the album's track listing alone will take you on a rollercoaster of emotion and tragedy, foreshadowing the range of musical moods awaiting. Effortlessly opening with the anthemic rockiness of Tombstone, before launching into Time You Have Left, a sparkly and life-affirming, almost poppy number which fluently layers the band's range of guitar and steel country vibes.
Expect Dark Days blended with Sunshine ahead, along with numbers like One Eyed Town, evoking a '70s bluesy feel.
