Dark Alchemy are proud to present KHOST.

“An aura of cult-like spiritual reverence… its hazardously industrial environs an exhausting maze of rubble that truly tests the stamina.” (Metal Hammer)

Since their inception in 2013, the Birmingham-based industrial doom duo of Andy Swan (Iroha/Final) and Damian Bennett (Carthage/Cortex/Gauge/Deathless/Techno Animal) have toured extensively with Godflesh and Conan as well as sharing the stage with Asphyx, Gnaw Their Tongues, Locrian, Vodun, Moss, Anaal Nathrakh, OvO, Final/JK Flesh. They’ve toured Europe, Israel, Russia and USA. With numerous releases on Cold Spring, studio collaborators have included Eugene Robinson of Oxbow, Jo Quail, Cabaret Voltaire, Tunnels of Ah, Daniel Buess and other sources providing saxophone, cello and voice for their wide-ranging recordings.

"Khost may just be the future of doom, drone, and just plain old loathing... This is what Godflesh was supposed to sound like" (Deaf Sparrow)

“…slabs of twin guitar drone and snail paced gargantuan riffs, marshalled into order by immense overdriven drum machine soldiers, while lulls in the assault are dominated by ethereal voices, found sounds and rather lush and spellbinding ambiances.” (Midlands Metalheads)

DEAD SPACE CHAMBER MUSIC
Dead Space Chamber Music are an experimental early music quartet of voice, guitar, cello and drums from Bristol UK. They reinterpret historical material, particularly from the medieval and Renaissance periods, taking forms and melodies that are hundreds of years old and shapeshifting them into highly emotive and atmospheric contemporary works.

The band has earned enthusiastic reviews for their shows having previously supported The Danse Society, Cold in Berlin and Rose McDowell. In November 2022 they joined hackedepicciotto (Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten and Danielle de Picciotto of Crime & The City Solution) on the UK dates of their European tour. In May 2023 they will hit the road as a duo of voice / guitar to join virtuoso cellist and composer Jo Quail on her upcoming UK tour.

The Black Hours is the band’s latest studio album. Two years in the making, it was released in late 2021. The title refers to an intimate medieval prayer book - a devotional 'book of hours’ - of the same name. Ranging from melodic and tender to doom-laden and visceral, it digs deep into the unsettling and disorienting experiences of the time it was created. The album has received very positive reviews, and has brought Dead Space Chamber Music to the attention of wider audiences in and beyond the UK.
