The Blue Lounge is back! Returning with a free gig showcasing more emerging artists within Bristol. Get yourself down to The Old England for a pint and enjoy some psychedelic jazzy rock, indie-folk, and blues.

Dogs Don't Die:
DOGS DONT DIE is a four way collective fronted by singer songwriter Thom, with multi-instrumentalists Fin and Alex on bass and guitar, backed by the spine of the band, Gus on drums.

By blending the sonic sounds of jazz and psychedelic rock DOGS DON’T DIE explore existential themes of love and individualism with a soulful yet moody, melancholic tone. With heavy guitar tones and beautiful chords Inspired by the likes of artists such as Chet Baker and King Krule.

Currently recording their debut E.P, the self titled ‘DOGS DON’T DIE’, with singles to be released soon. Their target audience is predominantly mature woman so feel free to come along ladies, however in parentheses they did say:

“Not Your marj cuz she pongs like a can of beanz”

Zoe Carr-Smith:
Zoe Carr-Smith is a singer and songwriter inspired by the likes of PJ Harvey and Radiohead. The collision of folk and a moody sonic approach meet to act as the backbone for sometimes dark and whimsical, yet relatable story-telling.

Piper:
Piper is a 19 year-old singer-songwriter based in Bristol. By weaving smooth vocal lines over tasteful chords Piper captures the beauty and hardships of love and intimacy. Currently performing as a solo act Piper’s sound is a unique combination of Blues, and R&B, accumulating into a chill, laid back jazzy sound.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
