Alex Izaak Milling’s work, exemplified by his recent album All His Angels, foregrounds vocal multiplicity: layering, disjunction, and resonance are deployed to open spaces where devotional intensity and estrangement coincide. Theo Gowans (organiser of Territorial Gobbins nights and label) engages in an aesthetics offragmentation, repurposing sound through interruption, reconfiguration, and unruly juxtaposition. In performance, the duo enact a live negotiation between these practices, using improvised vocalisation as both material and method.
